Do you have a favorite flower? I love peonies. When I lived on Lookout Mountain I had peony flowers that were outrageously beautiful growing in my yard. I did not plant them or cultivate them but I enjoyed their beauty. When I moved, I transplanted them to my parent’s yard where they still thrive.
Flower Therapy
Imagine my delight, while reading Flower Therapy (by Robert Reeves) to discover that peonies represent distance healing. There are no coincidences. Synchonicity abounds. I have been practicing a form of distant healing for years in the form on online therapy. I have taught hundreds of counselors and psychotherapist how to deliver therapeutic services via distance. Now I extend that teaching to coaches, intuitives and complimentary/alternative healers who utilize the internet to guide, teach or heal others.
Distance Healing
I love that people can be transformed, can shift and grow with healing sessions that occur from a distance, even healing sessions such as Reiki that are delivered via technology. It is an amazing digital age we live in, don’t you think? When I was presented with this meaning of Peony I was struck by the synchronicity in my own life. Serendipity it seems, that I have always gazed upon the Peony as something special and delightful and almost whimsically, as if the flower was created just for me!
It is nice to discover that some of the anchor images I have known and loved all of my life reveal their meaning when I take time to listen.
By the way, the Flower Therapy book is absolutely beautiful and suitable for a gift to anyone in your life who loves flowers! Even if the person does not believe in oracle messages, this book is beautiful and will delight. The accompanying oracle deck is awesome as well and I use the deck often during new and full moon rituals.
