Someone contacted me recently and asked if she should pay a psychic to, “…I don’t know… light candles and say a chant or something?” I replied, “No, you can light your own candles and say your own prayers.” So, let’s talk about twin flame surrender.
It’s not what you think.
I went on to explain that spell casting is not how to have your Twin Flame show up properly in your life. Certainly, we can set intentions, say our prayers, send love and light, but if we haven’t surrendered to the cause, these things won’t work either.
I have talked about what I call the Twin Flame Scam– people on the internet who swear for a fee they can tell you who your Twin Flame is, call up your Twin Flame and lead you to the banks of the Holy Twin Flame River. But really, the only thing that gets you closer to Twin Flame union is you.
What does that mean? It means you surrender to the Twin Flame mission and focus on you; focus on your soul’s purpose, every single day. Yes. Wash, rinse, repeat. There are no shortcuts and the love affair you long for is not even the point. Sometimes the point is giving up the love affair or even the idea of it.
You and your Twin Flame are called to serve humankind. In order to be fit for purpose, you must work on your own personal development. Sometimes Twins work solo and are called to be of service regardless of where on the Twin Flame journey the other is.
Surrender to the bigger picture. Don’t know what that means? Ask your higher self and your Guides how you might be of service, be open to being led and take your focus there. Being of service to others also gets you in touch with the areas of your personal life that need special attention. While you are of service to others you learn how to be of service to self. That is what comes first and this is what I call surrender. You are not in charge. You are called.
Let go of the romantic story line. Sure, romance might enter in but for now, trust that you will be united with your Twin Flame when you and your twin are ready, and when divine timing shows up. And divine timing won’t show up in your Twin Flame relationship until you show up for yourself.
