This Consulting Agreement (hereafter referred to as “The Agreement”) constitutes a contract between DeeAnna Merz Nagel, LLC (hereafter referred to as “The Consultant”) and _______________________________________ (hereafter referred to as “The Client”).
As The Client, please read this document carefully and raise any questions or concerns before agreeing to its terms.
Services:
The services provided by DeeAnna Merz Nagel, LLC include personal online consultative sessions.
Personal Consultation refers to holistic, educational, and non-clinical support that may incorporate intuitive guidance, spiritual reflection, and wellness-oriented approaches. These services are not psychotherapy, do not constitute a medical or mental health service, and do not involve the diagnosis or treatment of mental health conditions.
The purpose of this consultative work is to develop and implement strategies to help you reach personally identified goals so that you experience optimal physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. Services may address specific personal projects, life balance, job performance and satisfaction, or general situations in The Client’s life, business, or profession. Personal consultation may include personal strategic planning, values clarification, brainstorming, motivational coaching, intuitive guidance, and other consulting techniques.
Payment:
Payment for services is determined by The Consultant and The Client. Payments may be made by credit/debit card (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, AMEX) or check. Services must be paid for in advance. There are no refunds for personal consultation services rendered.
Feedback:
If, at any time, you, The Client, feel that your needs are not being met or you are not getting what you want out of personal consultation, please let me know so we can discuss your needs and adjust our work together.
Confidentiality:
The Consultant will only release information about our work to others with your written permission or if required by court order. While The Consultant is not practicing counseling or psychotherapy, my background as a licensed mental health counselor means I may be legally obligated to breach confidentiality under the following circumstances:
- If I have information that indicates a child, elderly, or disabled person is being abused, I must report this to the appropriate state agency.
- If a client is an imminent risk to themselves or makes threats of imminent violence against another person, I am required to take protective action.
These situations rarely occur in personal consultation but will be handled according to ethical standards if they arise.
Please understand that while I am licensed as a psychotherapist, when acting in the role of Personal Consultant, I do not hold therapist-client confidentiality privilege in legal proceedings. Personal consultation services are not protected by HIPAA or therapist-client privilege laws.
Sessions & Technology:
Sessions are conducted via telephone or the internet. The Client agrees to maintain the confidentiality of all information communicated during sessions. While it is understandable that clients may wish to discuss their consultative experience with trusted individuals, you agree not to share proprietary information in public forums.
The Client waives any legal action against The Consultant and holds The Consultant harmless for any interception of information resulting from the use of non-encrypted technology such as mobile phones. The Consultant uses an encrypted video platform for online sessions.
Scope of Work and Modality Disclosure:
As your Consultant, I will share knowledge and guidance related to the areas you wish to explore. I am trained as a coach and psychotherapist, but consultation is a distinct non-clinical service. Personal consultation may include complementary modalities such as Reiki, Aromatherapy, or Energy Medicine. These methods do not treat, diagnose, or cure any illness.
Reiki, as an energy-based modality, may be conducted hands-on, hands-off, or via distance. By engaging in this consultation, you give permission to receive Reiki (life force) energy from The Consultant through non-touch or distance methods, should it be used.
Psychotherapy is a healthcare service whose primary focus is to identify, diagnose, and treat mental health disorders. Personal consultation is not a replacement for psychotherapy or medical care. If at any time The Consultant believes your needs would be better met by a licensed provider, a referral may be suggested.
Record-Keeping:
No clinical or medical records are maintained as part of this service. General session notes may be kept privately for continuity of care but are not considered part of a medical or psychotherapeutic record.
Affiliate/Distributor Disclosure:
As a Young Living Essential Oils Brand Partner and affiliate with other brands, I may receive compensation from recommended products or services. These recommendations are based on personal use and belief in their benefit. There is no obligation to purchase any additional products or services.
Mutual Nondisclosure:
The Consultant and The Client mutually recognize that confidential business and personal information may be shared during sessions. The Consultant will not voluntarily disclose client information to third parties. The Client agrees not to disclose proprietary methods, materials, or any disparaging remarks about The Consultant to third parties or media outlets.

I agree to utilize DeeAnna Nagel’s Personal Consultation services with the full understanding that she offers consultation and guidance and is not responsible or liable for my personal or professional outcomes. I agree to hold DeeAnna Nagel and her practice harmless for any adverse situations resulting from our work together. I have read and agree to this Agreement and acknowledge receipt of my own copy.
