This course provides an overview of fundamental concepts related to essential oils and explores their recent surge in popularity within the wellness industry. Ethical considerations surrounding the utilization of essential oils with clients are thoroughly examined, including concerns related to the ethical sale of essential oils and other nutritional supplements in private practice. The course delves into the effective and appropriate application of essential oils within therapy or counseling sessions, with a particular focus on adhering to one’s scope of practice.

Participants will understand how essential oils can be used ethically with clients
Participants will be aware of ethical concerns regarding the sale of essential oils and other nutritional supplements within private practice
Participants will understand how scope of practice applies to the use of eo within a psychotherapy session.
Participants will know how to use non-diagnostic language to describe the use of essential oils.

This course is approved for CE through NAADAC. NAADAC hours can be used by most mental health professionals as many licensing boards recognize NAADAC for both core and related hours within the disciplines of counseling and social work. In most cases, courses I offer for coaches and alternative healers are also approved by NAADAC.
