Truth, freedom and authenticity was the focus of our most recent Essential Soul Care® Series workshop. We had lively discussions so I thought I would give a bit of a recap in case you care to join us in the future.
How are truth, freedom and authenticity related?
Truth, freedom, and authenticity are deeply interconnected and play a pivotal role in helping us hear and trust our inner voice, or intuition. Here’s how they weave together:
- Truth: Living in alignment with truth, both personal and universal, creates a foundation for inner clarity. When we are truthful with ourselves, we strip away illusions, self-deception, and societal conditioning. This honesty allows us to connect more deeply with our inner knowing, rather than being swayed by external expectations or fears. Truth, in this sense, becomes the compass that helps us navigate life from a place of inner wisdom.
- Freedom: Freedom, particularly inner freedom, is essential for us to fully express who we are. It involves liberating ourselves from the constraints of societal pressures, past conditioning, and limiting beliefs. When we are free, we have the space to explore our true nature and listen to our inner voice without judgment or suppression. Freedom opens the door to creativity, spontaneity, and deeper self-awareness, allowing us to follow our intuition more easily.
- Authenticity: Authenticity is about living in alignment with who we truly are, embracing our strengths, vulnerabilities, and unique perspectives. When we are authentic, we are more attuned to our inner voice because we are not trying to conform to others’ expectations. It takes courage to be authentic, but this alignment with our true self naturally amplifies our inner guidance, making it easier to hear and trust what resonates with our deepest desires and truths.
Together, truth helps us discern what is real and aligned, freedom gives us the space to follow that path, and authenticity empowers us to live it fully. This synergy creates a powerful channel for connecting to and hearing our inner voice with clarity and confidence. It becomes easier to trust our inner guidance when we live from a place of truth, embrace the freedom to choose our own path, and honor our authentic self.
Journal Prompts
Each month we spend an hour doing a deep dive on one card from the Essential Soul Care® Oracle Deck and this month the card that was the focus of the hour was titled, True Blue.
Speaking your truth, finding your voice and keeping healthy boundaries are all core issues related to the throat chakra. In the Essential Soul Care® protocol matches each chakra with an element and the element for the throat chakra is mindset.
This is about understanding your own tendencies to say what you mean, but not mean what you say. For instance, when do you tend to say YES when you really mean to say NO?
This is also about knowing your core truths and expressing them. For instance, do you have fundamental truths that you abide by but that you may not have spoken aloud to anyone? What would happen if you spoke those truths, or wrote them down in your diary?
Invitation
If these thought-provoking prompts stir you, you might consider joining us once a month for an hour to reflect. We meet the 1st Monday of each month at 1:00 NYT. Bring pen, pencil or even crayons and a notebook!
