My blog reflects my love for essential oils and indicates how much the oils have become an integral part of my vocational pursuits as well!
When I first embarked on this oils journey I didn’t know quite how I was going to “share” with others. Most people host home gatherings but my friends are scattered hither and yon so I didn’t know how that would work. But I did know early in the game that I held a great passion for the oils.
Sharing my love for essential oils
I did blog about being an introvert in the world of network marketing and figuring out how to find one’s way in a sales-y work climate when sales is not one’s strong suit. I don’t like to “sell”- and when we talk about oils we talk about sharing. I love to share. But finding a way to share that best suited me was a process.
With intention, I listened to mentors, friends and peers- I learned, I shared with others in various settings- one on one in a coffee shop or at another’s oil gathering. I talked about oils as it was natural and comfortable for me to do so. And then one day I felt comfortable enough to “set up shop” and talk about oils more formally and on a regular basis.
Mindfulness and Community
When I lived in New Jersey I partnered with Wendy Bright-Fallon of Nourish Coaches. She is a wellness coach, as am I, and she has a lovely office space in Red Bank, NJ. Her office is very warm and welcoming. We have great synergy, similar working styles and aligned philosophies about healthful living.
So what did we hope to accomplish when folks come to one of our essential oils gatherings? First of all, there was no charge and we held these gatherings twice a month- once in the morning and once in the evening to accommodate different schedules. We set out to:
- Experience essential oils
- Learn to nourish naturally
- Meet like-minded people
- Discover a new wellness path
We loved talking about the oils and cultivating community! For us, this was not just about sharing education about essential oils, it was about intuitive responses to the oils, how oils support our health and well being and giving people an opportunity to mingle and meet one another. It was a social event infused with essential oils education. And because we are both wellness coaches we graciously shared additional supportive information with participants.
And now I live in Florida. Yet we both carry on this vision in our own way. I hope this little read has given you inspiration.
